- Interpretation: The connection was a result of the the previous two. First we had a large statue of a golden like Buddha, then it went to a picture of a man sleeping with a lamp that shared a similar color as the statue. From there I continued with concept what he might have been dreaming about. In my picture there is a golden bee. It seems a bit abstract and out of place. I believe dreams some how make connections on a subconscious level with reoccurring themes. Basically my connection was that of color. The statue, the lamp, and the bee.

- Connection: I felt like Kay's photo has some secret or mystery that's hidden from the the viewer. I set out looking for mysteries to reveal. I feel as if I was able to reveal some of his mystery, while still leaving some for the viewers.

A reminder...

As pleased as we are that people from all over have shown their enthousiasm, it's a little disappointing to see that more and more people are sending in photo's from their archive... Boo!
The intention of this project is to CREATE new art, to get people out there and EXPERIENCE new things...So leave your computer alone, and put on those hiking boots (or high heels, or...whatever)!

The Rules

Okay, there have to be some basic rules;

- Each person gets exactly ONE WEEK to react! This to keep the project going. Pleeeease stay within the deadline, or we will have to pass the chain on to the next person on the list, which will only slow the project down.

- There has to be an obvious link / connection between the photo's. (Feel free to add an interpretation, if you feel this is necessary).

- Please make the photo especially for this project...so nothing from your archive. We know, this is impossible to check, but the idea is to have as much fun as possible...so get out there, and don't stay behind your computer! ;)

- Please participate only with photos that you've made yourself (copyright). And don't show hurtful, discriminating and illegal stuff. You know the deal. Photo's go through a screening process before they become visible online.

How to participate?

Woohooo, you are very excited to become a part of the chain, and have trouble sleeping at night just thinking about it...great!

Step 1: Just enroll yourself, by sending an email to photoreaxion@gmail.com.
You'll be placed on a list, and will be notified when it's your time to react on a photo.
Please let us know in this email what the name is you would like to have displayed (e.g. nickname, real name), as we will occassionally put updates of the list online. Here you can check when your time to react will be.

Step 2: Yes, your time has come to react! We will send you an email about this glorious fact, along with the photo you have to react on.
Now, it's very important that you send us back YOUR photo WITHIN ONE WEEK!
Please also send us;
- your name (or nickname),
- age,
- country you live in,
- name of the person on who's photo you've reacted,
- the name and contactinfo of a person you know, who wants to participate as well.

If you feel you need to explain the connection between the 2 photos, feel free to do so!
If your photo gets the green light, we will put it online for you.

Please, spread the word so lots of people from lots of countries all over the world will be able to participate!

What is Photo-Reaction?

It's very simple; make a photograph as a reaction on the previous photograph. Eventually we hope to get this photo-reaction all over the world, with as many creative photo's as possible. Please join!
